The project involves the installation of a robust solar hybrid power system in the U.S. Virgin Islands, utilizing three 12kW U.S. model 120/240V HITEK ENERGY hybrid inverters in parallel and 10PCS 51.2V 300Ah low-voltage HITEKESS lithium batteries. Parallel Inverter Architecture

High-Performance LFP Battery Bank

The battery system utilizes ten 51.2V 300Ah LiFePO4 (LFP) batteries from HITEKESS, delivering 153.6kWh of usable energy storage. LFP chemistry offers several advantages over traditional lead-acid alternatives:

  • Superior cycle life: Up to 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge

  • Enhanced safety: Stable chemistry with low thermal runaway risk

  • Higher energy density: More storage in less space

  • Minimal maintenance: No watering, equalization, or terminal cleaning required

The system operates in a hybrid mode that:

  • Prioritizes solar self-consumption during daylight hours

  • Can export surplus energy to the grid where net metering is available
